This pen is designed to have approximately a 50% mixture of black and gold. This is our Pittsburgh Swirl Pen which features a sporting Black and Gold Swirl. It comes with either a black or gold pen box. (Your choice in an email - default will be gold.) The refill has black ink. Each one of our Pittsburgh Swirl Pens are very different and range from a mixture of black with gold emphasis to a more black emphasis. The pen parts are gold on this pen.
